Journary is a private iPhone travel and location journal that records movement in the background and brings routes, places, trips and notes into a daily view.
Product source and V1 plans
The app is in development. Product records describe background location capture, maps, trip recognition and daily views. Route image and video exports are planned for V1 and still need release-build confirmation.

Automatic Location Capture
Journary records where you go in the background at an interval you choose. There is no recording session to start or stop.
Map Visualization
See recorded routes and places on a map, then open a day or trip to look back.
Cinematic Trip Videos
Route films for complete open days, trips and countries are planned for the first release.
Automatic Trip Detection
Journary groups recorded travel into trips and shows the destination, dates and distance.
Apple Health Stats
Opt in to add steps, floors climbed, walking and running distance, and workouts or routes from Apple Health. Journary processes the data on your iPhone.
Daily Journals
Journary puts your recorded route, places and notes together in a daily view. Apple Intelligence writing is planned for a later release.
Home Screen Widget
Keep your daily distance and recent activity a glance away with a home-screen widget.
Data Export
Route image and video exports are planned for V1. Free exports from complete unlocked days, trips and countries will carry a watermark; Pro will remove it and open older retained-history exports. Release-build confirmation is still open.

Each day joins the ones before it.
Journary records movement at an interval you choose, then organizes it into days and trips. You can add your own notes. The latest 365 days are open on Free under the approved plan; older retained history opens with Pro.
