How purchases, refunds, and your right of withdrawal work for Journary.
Overview: one purchase, managed by Apple
Journary is free to download. The only paid option is Journary Pro — a one-time purchase of $29.99 that unlocks features for the lifetime of the app. There is no subscription, no recurring billing, and nothing to cancel.
The Pro purchase is sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple is your contractual counterparty for the payment, handles billing, and issues your receipt. We never receive or store your payment details.
Refunds are handled by Apple
Because the purchase is made through Apple, all refund requests are processed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. To request a refund, use Apple's self-service portal:
You can also request a refund from within iOS via Settings → your Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Purchase History. Apple decides on refunds at its discretion and in accordance with applicable law.
EU right of withdrawal for digital purchases
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content within fourteen (14) days, without giving any reason.
For purchases made through the App Store, the contract for the digital content is concluded with Apple, and your statutory right of withdrawal is therefore exercised through Apple as part of Apple's purchase process. Apple's terms and the refund route described above apply.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal
Under EU law, the right of withdrawal for digital content can expire early once the supply of that content has begun, where you have given your prior express consent to immediate performance and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. When you confirm a digital purchase in the App Store and the content is made available immediately, this consent is requested as part of Apple's checkout flow.
No subscription to cancel
Because Journary Pro is a one-time, lifetime unlock and not a subscription, there is no recurring payment to stop and no renewal to cancel. Restoring your purchase on a new device is free and is done in the App using your Apple ID.
