Journary has no account and no location server. It reads and writes your history on your iPhone. A normal encrypted device or iCloud backup can include the journal, but Journary does not provide live sync or keep a server copy.

Good to know.

What is free, and what does Pro unlock?

Recording is free, with access to your latest 365 days. Older days stay stored on your iPhone. A one-time Pro purchase is planned to unlock all retained history. Route image and video exports still need release-build confirmation. There is no subscription.

Do I have to start and stop recording?

No. Journary records in the background. There is no trip to start, no check-in and no streak to keep alive.

Does Journary upload my location?

No Journary server receives your location history. Journary processes it on your iPhone. A normal encrypted device or iCloud backup can include the journal, but Journary does not provide live sync.

Can I correct a place or a day?

Yes. Correct a place, change a detail, or remove something you do not want in your diary.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. Journary records on your iPhone, including offline and abroad. You can add your own notes without a connection.

How can I get Journary?

Journary is coming to the App Store. Join the waitlist and we will email you when it is ready.
